This is the second ice skating cake I made, It was just like the first one, except I made the skate out of fondant instead of piping gel. The color on this cake is purple instead of blue. I also used an air-brush to highlight the creases on the bottom layer.
This was a birthday cake from back in January. It was a simple cake covered in vanilla butter-cream icing and then little fondant polka dot decorations. Then I made matching cupcakes, except opposite of the design on the cake. Instead of doing white icing with blue polka-dots, I did blue icing with white polka-dot. Yum!

This was a 50th birthday party, in the winter time. It was covered in white vanilla butter-cream. I took edible silver spray paint and painted the sides of the cake. Then I took blue icing and put a shell border and polka dots on it. The I surrounded the top of the cake with white chocolate snowflakes that had silver sugar in them. This cake looks beautiful and looks like it's right out of a winter wonderland!

This was the first ice skating cake I ever made, it was a 2 layer Chocolate eight inch round cake on a 9 by 13 inch vanilla cake. The bottom cake, was covered in vanilla butter-cream icing and covered with a periwinkle blue piece of fondant and indented with a quilting pattern. I put a sugar pearl at the cross of the indentations. Then I put a white shell border around the base. The top cake I iced in blue butter-cream icing and made a blue fondant bow. I used piping gel to paint on the ice skate. Then for the final touch I took white sugar crystals and sprinkled them onto the cake to make it look like it had just started to snow. Delicious!

These cupcakes (Above) were gluten free chocolate cupcakes, topped with Chocolate Ganache. They also had a raspberry cream filling. They had simple white candy pearls to top it off, and make them look even more beautiful!

These were chocolate cake pops, dipped in white chocolate and rolled in gold sugar. Yummy!
These were chocolate cupcake with vanilla butter-cream icing. Perfect for any occasion!

Hello Kitty Cake

This was a Hello Kitty cake that I made for a little girl. I hand carved the cake and then star-tipped it. The decorations were all made out of fondant. Perfect for girls of all ages!

This was a cake I did for a woman, who was throwing her husband an anniversary party. It was his 12th year in the Marine Corps. I put a large gold number 12 in the center and put 12 white chocolate stars around it. I painted them gold with edible paint. Then I made a fondant medal in the center. The side I put a black, red and blue stripe to represent the Marine Corps. uniform. Then I put more gold stars around the sides. It was a vanilla cake filled will a fresh lemon butter cream filling.

Graduation cake

This was a graduation cake I did last year. It was a basic sheet cake. I decorated it with vanilla butter cream. I added on a light blue shell border on the bottom and a star border on the top. In the center of each star I put a sugar pearl that I got from a craft store, in the baking section. I added blue edible sparkles all over the cake to add a little something extra. Then I put two wax bobble-head figures that I got at a party store one the corners. Nothing says "Celebration" like a cake does!
This was a sweet 16 cake. The top was covered with edible, gum paste/fondant calla lilies. It was three layers, Vanilla, Chocolate, and then Vanilla again. In between each layer was a Raspberry filling. The cake was covered in buttercream and then a layer of light green fondant. I added a light yellow border and light green polka dots. Yummy!

This is a "Phillie's" cake I made over a year ago. It was a chocolate cake that I rounded and then star tipped. I made simple stitches with red butter-cream icing and a round tip.

Tractor Cake

This cake is a tractor cake. It has plastic wrap over the top so you can't see it that well but it's still a fun cake. My mom actually decorated this one. We used the "Wilton" cake pan for this cake.
Great for boys of all ages!

This was the second cake I decorated. It was simple and a bit choppy, but it would be perfect for a little girl's birthday party or a spring-time cake.

Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes

These were yummy Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes, they're so super easy, fun and delicious. Take your favorite shortcake or vanilla cake recipe and fill your cupcake baking cup 1/3 to 1/2 of the way full. (When they bake they will rise) Take strawberries and cut them into small bite-size pieces and add sugar. Once the strawberries have made a syrup and set,  scoop some onto the top of your cooled cupcakes. Take whipped cream (Home made is best, but store-bought works too) and pipe (Or scoop) a nice swirl, or dollop on top. Make sure that your strawberries are below the top of the baking cup, so that they don't spill over the sides. You can substitute the fruit for any of your favorite fruits: Blueberries, Peaches, Raspberries, etc... You can also make these Gluten-Free by changing your cupcake recipe into a gluten free cupcake recipe.
Enjoy!

This was one of my first real cakes, It's a little sloppy, but it's the cake that got me into cake decorating. Seeing my little nephew's face on his birthday when he saw this cake was worth every minute of the work. It was at that moment that I realized that a fun cake can make a special event even more special. Cause when we make others happy, you can't help but feel happy yourself.

Remix or Remake:

It's that time of year when everything is changing, from clothing, to school, to the weather, to food. So, you get out your fall-winter set of clothes and put away the spring-summer set. But then you look in your jewelry box and see the same stuff, your gold chain with the heart locket, your favorite pair of Christmas earrings, your diamond bracelet, etc. In the bottom corner you see the beaded bracelet or necklace that you Aunt or Grandmother gave you a few years ago. It's not really your style, so you never wear it, but it's special to you cause it was a gift from a person you love and you don't want to get rid of it. So what do you do? Leave it there for another decade? Save it for one of your kids, hoping it'll be their style? Don't you wish there was a way that you could remix or remake the piece to make it more your style, but still keep the same original beads?
Good news, you can! Sometimes a simple change makes a world of difference. If it's a very bright and vibrant piece then I can settle it down a bit. Or if it's dull and boring and you'd like something more exciting then I can add some pops of color and sparkle. Or maybe you like the bracelet but it's too big or too small, a few simple changes and you can be wearing it again. It's a simple and affordable way to keep a family heirloom original, but more to your style.
Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!
